King's career as Executive Secretary of the Board of Education of the Western North Carolina Conference of the Methodist Church. A portion of the collection pertains to King's education at the Yale University Divinity School, including papers written by King and class notes. Mary Eskridge King's involvement in the Methodist church is also documented in these papers.
